Ri had been struggling with bringing in the electric guitar in the music. It wasn’t well received by the electronica purists – and sometimes was even taken out of her lap physically in jam sessions! How could it be? She WAS proficient at it, even though it had that 80’s Def Lepard meets ’70’s Santana sound? Renee was tired of not being in the producers seat, so found great interest in learning Propellerhead Reason – and took a deep dive into it.
She took Ri’s guitar recording and cut it into little pieces, and ran it through a sampler. All of a sudden, it was right, and everything changed!
